A Holy Names High School graduate is intellectually competent.

Students will learn the fundamentals of singing, performance, and working as a cohesive choral ensemble. We will work toward developing sight-reading skills and basic musicianship as well as basic music theory, music history, and music appreciation through assignments, written papers, and concert performances.

Students will strive to successfully function as a group in class and in concert performances as well as develop an understanding of the forms of vocal music and its significance in the context of human development.

Students will prepare choral songs through sight-reading, rehearsals and memorization. Students will understand, appreciate and perform a wide range of music.
